The first week of fall is now in the books and it's been full of sunshine in Calgary — a stark contrast to the weather in the province this time last year.

Edmonton city staff are recommending that renting bikes to tourists and others should be left to the private sector to run, Council's Urban Planning Committee could give the go-ahead Tuesday to have bikes hit the streets this spring.

"We're busy but we're not super busy. This is usually the busiest weekend, B.C. day weekend."
