Beekeeper Olivia Wilson of Hiawatha First Nation will represent Team Canada at the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers in Slovenia in early July.

The president of the Red River Apiarists' Association says the sudden appearance of a buzzing swarm of bees on the side of a tree or a house isn't uncommon at this time of year.

Two sizable hives holding some 30,000 bees have been stolen from a field in the Ottawa area, and the couple that cares for them is asking for the public's help in finding whoever is responsible.
