Crash involving 3 semis causes pileup on Calgary’s Stoney Trail
A pileup on Stoney Trail near 17th Avenue Southeast stopped traffic Friday afternoon after a gravel truck crossed the median into oncoming traffic. The crash involved three semis and a pickup truck, spilling fuel, and shutting down a section of the busy roadway. Sarah Offin has more on what happened from the scene.

$211,000 in cash and drugs seized in New Westminster
On Jan. 18, police say the Gang Suppression Unit stopped a suspicious vehicle near 8th Avenue and 10th Street. It turned out the driver was prohibited from driving and was arrested, along with the passenger, and found cash and drugs valued at over $200,000.

Vancouver police are investigating after a yellow cab was stolen and involved in several hit-and-runs Tuesday morning. Police say the first hit-and-run happened around 7:30 a.m. at Broadway and Kingsway – the driver then made it to Fraser and 37th Avenue, where a pedestrian was struck.
