Flowers, cards and toys are being dropped off at a Pitt Meadows parking lot tonight, where a two-and-half-year-old boy was killed when he was run over by a car Friday morning.
A candlelight vigil has now been organized for Tuesday, November 26.
The boy was with his mother when he was hit near the BC Signature Liquor Store at Meadowtown Centre.
One card reads, “Thinking of you. There are no words.” Another note said, “So so sorry for your loss.”
After the crash, the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigators. There’s some indication the sun could have been a factor in the tragedy.

The boy’s mother was also taken to hospital, but her current condition is not known.
The investigation into the incident continues.
