“We heard nothing. My husband, our children heard nothing. We slept soundly,” Sullivan said. “We woke up to our friend telling us about it.”

She said it was “unnerving” and a “shock” to learn about the unidentified woman’s death.

“My heart goes out to the woman that lost her life. That’s where my heart goes,” she said.

Bo Vitanov, another area resident, said she has increasing evidence of disturbances in the area and in the city.

“We’ve definitely had cycles in the city, so I think the potential is definitely there for it to get better,” Vitanov said.

“I don’t think any area is really immune.”

Autopsy for the woman is scheduled for Sunday.
