CALGARY- A popular Alberta ski resort has been dubbed the Best Ski Resort in Canada.

At the World Ski Awards ceremony in Austria over the weekend, the title was awarded to Lake Louise Ski Resort, located in Banff National Park.

Not only did it win the top title in Canada, but was also named one of the top three resorts in the world.

“We couldn’t be more pleased by this recognition,” said Lake Louise’s owner and president Charlie Locke, in a statement. “We take a lot of pride in providing impeccable hospitality in a pristine mountain setting where our guests are wowed at every turn.”

The title was determined by voters from around the world.

The Lake Louise Ski Resort offers 4,200 acres of terrain, and is part of the Banff National Park UNESCO World Heritage Site.
