Shooting in downtown Richmond leaves one man with superficial wounds

Richmond RCMP is currently on scene of a shooting in the 4400-block of No. 3 Road.

Police were called to the scene just before 7 p.m. when witnesses reported shots had been fired. They found a car with bullet holes in it, with one man inside.

He had superficial wounds that did not need medical attention.

Police say according to witnesses a man was seen fleeing the area at the time of the shooting.  This man has yet to be identified.

Based on the investigation to date, police do not believe this attack was random.

The investigation is on-going and will be conducted by the Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit.
