Saskatoon police officers investigated a suspicious scene after a body was reported to be in an alley adjacent to 20th street near Avenue C.

Police arrived in the area around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

They were joined on scene by the forensics identification section and the major crimes unit.

The death as a homicide on Thursday, making it the city’s 13th death by homicide of 2022.

Police said they will not be releasing the name of the deceased at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
