Motorcyclist dead after collision in Toronto: police

A 19-year-old man riding a motorcycle has died after a collision involving another vehicle in Toronto, police say.

In a tweet Tuesday, Toronto police said the collision occurred in the Markham Road and Eastpark Boulevard area at around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 1.

Officers said Toronto paramedics transported the motorcyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

In an update, police said the 19-year-old motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 90-year-old woman driving a Lincoln MDX SUV remained at the scene of the collision, police said.

According to police, Markham Road was closed from Blake Manor to Greencrest Circle.
