John Tory has been elected for a third term as Toronto Mayor.
He faced 30 separate challengers who hoped to unseat him. They included Gil Penalosa, Sarah Climenhaga, Stephen Punwasi and Chloe Brown.

Tory will be joined around the council table by a number of new faces.
Eight of Toronto’s 25 wards were contested without an incumbent seeking re-election. Seven of the eight wards were set to be without an incumbent when nominations closed. The death of Ward 23’s Cynthia Lai added an eighth.
Among the new faces at council is Amber Morley who joins council representing Etobicoke-Lakeshore after defeating incumbent Mark Grimes.
