28-year-old woman charged with assault following Dartmouth stabbing

DARTMOUTH, N.S. – A 28-year-old woman has been charged with assault, in connection to a stabbing Monday night in Dartmouth.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, a 36-year-old man arrived at the Emergency Health Services station on Jamieson St. with a stab wound. The man said he was stabbed at an apartment on Nivens Avenue. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police were dispatched to the apartment on Nivens Avenue and arrested a 28-year-old woman. She will be in Dartmouth court Tuesday morning, on charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and violation of court orders. Her name has not been released.
