TORONTO — Singer Cee Lo Green pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of giving ecstasy to a woman at a dinner party last year.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney charged The Voice mentor, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, on Monday with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance.
The charge stems from an investigation into allegations by a 33-year-old woman that Green slipped her ecstasy at a restaurant in July 2012 and then went to her hotel room for sex.
Prosecutors declined to file a sexual assault charge against the “F*** You” singer, citing insufficient evidence.
If convicted, Green could spend up to four years in prison.
The 39-year-old Grammy winner’s bail was set at $30,000.
