Global News projects Pat Corbett-Labatt will be the next mayor of the northern Vancouver Island community.
Global News projects joining Corbett-Labatt will be incumbent councillors Janet Dorward, John Tidbury, Treena Smith and Fred Robertson, along with newcomers Dennis Dugas and Brian Texmo.
Dugas did not want to seek re-election for mayor.

Port Hardy is located on Vancouver Island’s northern coast, about 43 kilometres from Port McNeill. Its settlement began at the turn of the century with the establishment of a post office and store on the east side of Hardy Bay.
