Global News is projecting Tim McGonigle has been elected as the next mayor of Lake Cowichan in the 2022 B.C. municipal election..

McGonigle will replace Mayor Rod Peters, who opted not to run again.

Joining McGonigle on council will be incumbents Kristine Sandhu, Lorna Dawn Vomacka and Carolyn Austin along with newcomer Aaron Frisby, Global News projects.
