Sask. RCMP arrest wanted male after incidents in Cumberland House

Carrot River RCMP, Nipawin RCMP and the Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team have officially located and arrested 28-year-old Kurt Bloomfield.

Bloomfield was arrested on Sept.14 without incident at a residence in Zenon Park, Sask.

On Sept. 11, Saskatchewan RCMP began the search for a 28-year-old male who was facing a number of charges and was considered armed and dangerous, after multiple incidents occurred in the Cumberland House area between Sept. 6 and Sept. 7.

Kurt Bloomfield is facing charges involving assault, a firearm and motor vehicle theft.

Bloomfield was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for parole violation.

RCMP said there is no longer a risk to public safety.
