Of the six total officers injured, three were from Saanich police and three were from the Victoria Police Department.

Police said the two suspects were shot and killed at the scene.

A third suspect may still be at large, Duthie said, but investigators do not believe there is any risk to the public.

Police confirmed explosive devices were found in a vehicle associated with the suspects and some homes and businesses in the area remain evacuated as a precaution.
