“There was also another man, who was basically a passerby at the time, who was also injured,” Lobb said. “He received minor injuries and was treated and released from hospital.”

Police are appealing to the public for help with the investigation.

“Anyone who may have witnessed an altercation just prior to the victim being located in the intersection, if anyone had witnessed that or if anyone has any dashcam video from around that time of the evening in that area, please reach out to us,” Lobb said.

Vehicles were being detoured around side roads for hours, as Harvey Avenue was blocked off all the way down to Ethel Street for the investigation.
