CALGARY- It’s a sign of the season.
The annual Larch March is now underway in Banff, where a hike to see the spectacular fall colours is a favourite tradition.
However, the traffic trouble it creates can be a big turnoff, which is why Parks Canada is now offering free shuttles to the trail head.

For the next two weekends, the shuttle will go between the overflow parking lot east of Lake Louise on the Trans-Canada Highway and Moraine Lake.
“Taking the shuttle will be more enjoyable,” says Julie Champagne from Parks Canada. “You won’t have to drive yourself to Moraine Lake and maybe not have a chance of getting a parking space.”
In the past, Parks Canada has been forced to close the road up to the lake, because the traffic jams can be so bad.
The shuttles will run every 20 minutes, between 9 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.
