MRI services being improved in Regina

MRI services being improved in Regina - image

The Regina Qu’Appelle Health region is installing a new state of the art MRI unit at the Regina General Hospital. The $3.2 million dollar machine will be fully installed in the spring and is replacing an older unit that has already been dismantled. To ensure service is not interupted during the installation a mobile MRI has been brought in to meet demand. Saskatchewan has five MRI units spread across the province.

The new machine is being paid for through contributions from the Ministry of Health, the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region and the Hospitals of Regina Foundation.
