TORONTO – The Ontario legislature’s fall session begins Monday, with the Liberals promising lower car insurance rates, a new spending watchdog and a ban on teens using tanning beds.
Premier Kathleen Wynne will have to perform several juggling acts to make sure her Liberal party will stay in power and prevent a fall election.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath plans to keep a close eye on the governing Liberals and hold them to their promises.
Meanwhile, the Progressive Conservatives have indicated they will put forth a second contempt motion related to the cancelled gas plants scandal.
