“The residents of Beaconsfield are mostly avid gardeners, making composting in your own backyard easy to do, natural, and environmentally friendly,” said Staddon

Research has shown that traditional methods of organic garbage disposal can lead to methane and leach leakage problems, making composting counter productive.

This project is the start of long term plans to completely eliminate organic garbage in landfills.

“Overall, you eliminate industrial treatment of organic waste, which leads to less environmental problems and the hassle of having to go buy soil at a store.”
