Pair charged after reported stabbing in southeast London, Ont.

London, Ont., police say they’ve charged two people after a man suffered life-threatening injuries following a weekend stabbing incident.

Police say around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the area of Southdale Road East and Millbank Drive for a report of an injured person.

When police arrived, they realized the man was suffering serious injuries caused by stabbing.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition as of Monday.

Police say 25-year-old Mary Caruana and 19-year-old Mercedes Summers, both of London, have been charged with one count of attempted murder.

The pair is set to appear in court Monday.

Police say the Major Crime Section is investigating.
