Clashes killed 173 people on Friday – after a call from Muslim Brotherhood for a “Day of Rage” – according to an Egyptian spokesperson.
More than 600 people have been killed in protests across Egypt after security forces broke up two sit-in protests this week by citizens calling for the reinstatement of ousted President Mohammed Morsi.
Saturday, Egyptian authorities announced they were considering disbanding the Muslim Brotherhood group.
