Incumbent Kody Blois is projected to be re-elected in the riding of Kings-Hants.
This riding of Kings—Hants sits along the shore of the Bay of Fundy. East Hants, Kentville, Kings Country and Enfield are included within its boundaries.
The riding was a Tory stronghold in the late 1990s.
Former Conservative Scott Brison managed to keep a hold on the seat for more than two decades following his decision to join the Liberals in 2003.
After the long-time MP and former cabinet minister resigned from the seat he held for 21 years, Kings—Hants became a riding to watch in the 2019 federal election.
Voters in the riding ended up electing newcomer Liberal candidate Kody Blois.
Blois secured victory after seizing 42.3 per cent of the vote. The Conservatives’ Martha MacQuarrie finished second with just shy of 25 per cent of the vote. The NDP’s Stephen Schneider came in third with nearly 18 per cent of the vote, while the Green party’s Brogan Anderson received 12.6 per cent.
