Baby scandal rocks Canadian wife of ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher

TORONTO — The Canadian wife of musician Liam Gallagher is keeping mum about a baby scandal that has rocked their marriage.

Nicole Appleton hasn’t spoken publicly about her split from Gallagher in mid-July, when it was revealed he had an affair with New York journalist Liza Ghorbani.

Appleton’s mother Mary told Grazia that her daughter is “absolutely devastated.”

“She is in a terrible state,” she added. “It’s been a terrible shock.”

Ghorbani filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Family Court seeking $3 million from Gallagher for Gemma, the 8-month-old daughter he allegedly fathered.

On Tuesday, the New York Post reported that Gallagher’s legal team has asked Ghorbani to sign a non-disclosure agreement so she won’t talk about their relationship.

Appleton, 38, was reportedly vacationing in Orlando, Florida when the scandal broke.

After nearly two weeks of inactivity on Twitter, Appleton tweeted a picture on Aug. 2 with: “Best friends are the people in your life that make you laugh louder, smile brighter, and live better.”

The following day, Appleton retweeted a Twitter post by Run-DMC’s Rev. Run.

“Remember to NEVER let people, life & unpleasant circumstances change the HAPPY vibrant person you USED TO BE #KeepGoin!”

Appleton was born in Hamilton, Ont. and spent part of her early life in Toronto. Once in England, she became part of pop group All Saints.

She started dating Gallagher in 2000 and had their son, Gene, in 2001. The couple was married in 2008.

Gallagher, 40, has four children with four different women.

According the Sun, he has also been having an affair with former aide Debbie Gwyther.

Gallagher is currently performing in the band Beady Eyes.
