“A commercial garbage truck rear-ended a Jeep Cherokee causing a chain reaction collision,” RCMP said.

While all vehicle occupants were attended to by the B.C. Ambulance Service, only one person was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to RCMP.

One person required help exiting their vehicle and was extracted with the help of the Kelowna Fire Department, they said.

A view of the DriveBC webcams installed on the bridge over Okanagan Lake indicated traffic heading southbound and northbound was affected.

The collision happened on the apex of the bridge.
