Man taken to hospital after shooting in Dartmouth

A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Halifax on Friday evening has died from his injuries. File/ Global News

Halifax Regional Police say a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting Wednesday night in Dartmouth.

Officers were called to the area of Windmill Road and Parkstone Road around 10:30 p.m. after reports of gunshots.

Once on scene officers located the injured male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
