“Fire crews put it out quite quickly. The fire migrated to the eavestrough area but we were able to contain it.”

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

Shewell had said early indications suggested the fire was not suspicious in nature but police issued an update just before noon reporting that “investigators have determined that the fire is suspicious in nature, and the investigation is ongoing.”

Fire crews have cleared the scene.
