Peel Regional Police say a 22-year-old man has critical injuries following a shooting in Brampton early Thursday.
Emergency crews were called to a residential neighbourhood near Van Kirk Drive and Mayfield Road at around 2:18 a.m. for reports that multiple gunshots were fired.

Police said a man was found with injuries. He was transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition, police said.
In an update later Thursday morning, investigators said the man who is a resident of Brampton is still in hospital.
There is no word on suspects.
