Investigators say the victim was killed as a result of a stabbing connected to an alleged brawl around 1:a.m. at Limeridge Road West near Kendale Court.

It’s believed 20 to 30 people from Hamilton were involved in the altercation with a number of other people from Peel region. Knives, sticks, pipes, and even a taser were some of the weapons brandished in the conflict, according to detectives.

Two other people were sent to hospital with one suffering a stab wound and another with a head injury.

Police are appealing to those involved or anyone who knows someone connected to the incident to come forward. Authorities do not believe the altercation is gang-related.

No charges or arrests have been made, say police.
