Saskatoon police arrested a 45-year-old woman accused of stabbing a family member, a 47-year-old woman, twice in the arm on Saturday afternoon.

Just before noon emergency crews were called to a house in the 200 block of Avenue D South in Riversdale.

Four police vehicles and a fire truck were out front of a house and a woman in a stretcher was being loaded into an ambulance.

Paramedics took the stabbing victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a police statement.

Police arrested the suspect nearby without incident.
