City of Edmonton provides construction update
EDMONTON – The city is providing an update on current, completed, and future construction projects in Edmonton as of July 2013.
The city says as Edmonton continues to grow, the need for significant construction continues, along with an impact on traffic.
Despite the rainy weather in June, the city says there has been little impact on most road project schedules. Still, it wants to ensure the work is completed to standard and done properly.
Some major projects include the widening of 34 Avenue, 108 Street streetscape, Central LRT rehabilitation and Jasper Avenue streetscape, and the Walterdale Bridge project.
The Rossdale Road Bridge, the interchange at Whitemud Drive and 17 Street, and the 66 Street projects have been completed.
