WINNIPEG – The Cup is coming to Winnipeg.

The Slurpee Capital Trophy Cup, that is.

Winnipeggers will celebrate their world-champion Slurpee addiction Thursday with 1,500 of the icy drinks served free at each store across the city and a tour of 7-Eleven’s trophy.

It’s the 14th year in a row that Manitobans have won the prize for consuming more Slurpees per store than any other place in the world. There are 52 7-Elevens in Manitoba, 43 of them in Winnipeg.

As part of the celebration, 7-Eleven is holding its first Slurpee Capital Trophy Cup Tour.
