Pedestrian critically injured, motorcyclist in serious condition after northeast crash: London police

London police say a pedestrian and a motorcylist are both in hospital after a crash in the area of Highbury Avenue North and Kilally Road at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Initially, police tweeted about the crash saying only injuries “appear to be serious,” but in an update just before 3 p.m., police reported that two men were taken to hospital.

The pedestrian “is said to have sustained life-threatening injuries” and the motorcyclist “is in serious but stable condition,” police say.

The traffic management unit is on scene and police say Highbury Avenue is closed between Edgevalley Road and Townsend Drive. Kilally Road is closed from Wintergarden Road to Webster Street.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and have not said how long the closure is expected to last.
