Dangerous offender hearing for Bitternose resumes after 2008 Banff attack

A dangerous offender hearing for a man originally from Regina resumed on Monday in Calgary.

Cory Bitternose, 40, pleaded guilty in March to several assault and sex-related charges.

He is facing charges after allegedly beating two women in a deserted parking lot in Banff two years ago. While one woman escaped, the other was sexually assaulted.

If Bitternose is declared a dangerous offender, he would be locked up indefinitely.
