LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. – A Lloydminster man will be spending the next two years in custody after being convicted on child pornography and weapon charges.
Doug Hatcher, 55, was charged with child pornography in the summer of 2012 after an investigation by the RCMP integrated child exploitation unit.
Prior to his first court appearance, Hatcher fired flare and pellet guns at RCMP members behind the court house in Lloydminster.
Officials say it was an attempted suicide by cop.
Hatcher was sentenced on Thursday to 25.5 months in prison for the offences.
