3 injured, man arrested following Sunday morning downtown shooting: London police

An early morning downtown shooting has left three people injured, according to London police.

Officials say they received numerous calls regarding shots being fired in a parking lot west of Richmond Street between Kent Street and Albert Street at roughly 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Three victims were taken to hospital and are in stable condition.

Police say a weapon was recovered nearby and a 24-year-old London man was arrested.

The accused faces more than a dozen charges including three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of discharging a firearm with intent to wound or endanger life and one count of attempted murder.

The 24-year-old made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
