Raptors fans have crammed into Toronto’s downtown core to celebrate the historic NBA Championship win with a parade.

The event, which is being touted as the biggest party in the city’s history, could draw more than two million people to downtown streets by the end of the day.

The parade kicked off just after 10 a.m. but has moved slowly through the route. The team, riding atop double-decker buses, could be seen smoking cigars and drinking champagne while waving to masses of thrilled fans. Raptors superstars Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry took turns raising the trophy in the air. The parade crawled from Exhibition Place, down Lake Shore Boulevard and past Scotiabank Arena.
