Vancouver police arrest suspect in Andy Livingstone Park stabbing

Vancouver police say they’ve made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that sent a 54-year-old man to hospital with serious wounds.

Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday in Andy Livingstone Park, near Carrall Street and Expo Boulevard.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A witness told Global News they were just feet away from the victim when the incident occurred and turned around to see a man bleeding on the ground. It appeared he’d been stabbed in the neck, the witness said.

Police said a 20-year-old man is now in custody. He was picked up shortly after the incident and police say charges are being recommended to Crown counsel.
