Man shot at Scarborough house dies from his injuries

A man who was shot at a home in Scarborough has now died in hospital, Toronto police confirm.

Toronto police said the victim has been identified as 28-year-old Lawrence Taylor Gannon.

Police have also released a suspect description. Investigators said they are looking for a 5’11” man in his mid 20s, thin build, clean shaven and was seen fleeing the area on foot.

Toronto Paramedics said they transported one male patient in critical condition to a trauma centre just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Emergency crews were called to a house on Ivy Green Crescent in Scarborough for a shooting.

Police said the man was shot in the head and also shot in the upper body. Police said the man was located outside of the residence in the courtyard.

This is the 20th homicide for 2019.
