*UPDATE: RCMP said Quentin Strawberry was arrested on April 16 on his outstanding warrant in relation to the homicide of Joseph Gallant. Jennifer Lee Caswell was arrested on April 25 for second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm, police said.

Alberta RCMP have issued arrest warrants for two people in connection to a homicide investigation in Red Deer.

Early Friday morning, a 45-year-old man, who police have identified as Joseph Junior Alfred Gallant, was found injured inside a home in the Mountview neighbourhood.

The victim was transported to hospital where he later died. Gallant was from Prince Edward Island, according to rdnewsNOW.

Police are now looking for 37-year-old Quentin Lee Strawberry and Jennifer Lee Caswell, 37, both of Red Deer. Both have been charged with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on their whereabouts to contact them and are warning the public that the suspect should not be approached and may bear weapons.

The RCMP major crimes unit is working with the Red Deer RCMP detachment and RCMP forensic identification services on the investigation.
