Collision after ‘unsafe lane change’ leads to closure of Red Hill Valley Parkway

Hamilton police say they’re investigating a Wednesday night collision that resulted in the overnight closure of the Red Hill Valley Parkway (RHVP).

Shortly after 11 p.m., police say they responded to a collision involving two vehicles travelling northbound on the RHVP near Greenhill Avenue.

No injuries have been reported. Police are citing “driver error during a lane change” as the cause.

A 50-year-old man from Keswick, Ont., was ticketed for unsafely changing lanes.

The RHVP was reopened before 2 a.m.
