Money, clothing stolen from women’s shelter thrift store in Kelowna

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a women’s shelter thrift store along Industrial Avenue in Kelowna. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, you are asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP. Global News

A thrift store for a women’s shelter in Kelowna was broken into, with the thief or thieves stealing money and clothing.

Police say they were alerted to the incident at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter Thrift Store on Monday, just after 9:30 a.m. The store is located along Industrial Avenue.

According to police, the suspect or suspects gained entry through the front door, damaging a lock in the process. Once inside, the suspect or suspects removed a safe and rifled through a filing cabinet and a cash register drawer before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash and a variety of clothing items.
