Police investigating suspicious death at Calgary’s Red Carpet Inn

Police were called to the Red Carpet Inn in Calgary on Friday, March 15, 2019, for reports of a suspicious death. Global News

Calgary police have released the name of a man found dead in a Montgomery motel last week.

A body was discovered in one of the rooms at the Red Carpet Inn, located at 4635 16 Avenue N.W., on Friday at 1:10 p.m.

Following an autopsy, Calgary police identified the man as 66-year-old Harry “Frank” Vincent Jones.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Homicide Unit is investigating Jones’ death, which is considered suspicious.

A Tuesday news release from the CPS asked anyone with information about Jones’ death to call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
