Police investigating after Norfolk County woman awakes to find unknown man in her home

Provincial police in Norfolk County are on the lookout for a suspect after a woman said she woke up and found an unknown man inside her home.

It happened around 1:12 a.m. Tuesday at an address in Oakwood Avenue in Norfolk County, police said.

Police said the woman had been asleep on her couch when she awoke and found the unknown man.

“The homeowner immediately contacted police at which time it was believed that the unknown male went upstairs,” police said in a statement.

Police searched the home but said they did not locate the man. Police said it didn’t appear anything was taken, and no damage was reported to the home.
