Another Canadian victim of the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash that killed 157 people has been identified as Ameen Ismail Noormohamed.
Noormohamed was a 72-year-old Canadian citizen who was on his way to Kenya to visit family, his son Naheed, who lives in Toronto, told Global News.
“The family wishes to maintain their privacy but are grateful for all the well wishes,” the family said in a statement. “They would also like to convey their heartfelt condolences to all the families and friends of the deceased. May their souls rest in eternal peace.”
Flight ET302 crashed just minutes after it took off Sunday morning.
The 157 people killed were from 35 countries, and 18 of them were Canadian. Many were United Nations workers on their way to a conference in Nairobi.

Investigators from Ethiopia and other countries, including the United States, are looking into what caused the aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, to crash.
It’s the second fatal crash for that type of plane within six months, which has led many countries to ground the plane pending the investigation.
