It has almost been a week since a white Hummer SUV veered off Bath Road in Kingston, Ont., onto the sidewalk, striking a female pedestrian, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.
Kingston police are seeking witnesses, who recall seeing the Hummer driving on Princess Street before the tragic collision, to come forward.
“Some witnesses reported seeing it on Princess Street near Bath Road. Other witnesses, first noted the aggressive driving on Bath Road westbound towards Sir John A. MacDonald Boulevard,” police said.
There is still very little known about the second victim in this case, a female passenger, who also remains in hospital with critical injuries.
Bashar Shehna, the husband of 35-year old Abeer Abo Hajar, continues to be at her bedside at Kingston General Hospital.

The mother of four young children, ages seven, four, two and five-months old, Hajar remains in critical condition.
A GoFundMe page has been launched to help support her young family.
More than $4,330 had been raised by mid-afternoon on Monday. The goal is $10,000.
Hajar was struck by a white Hummer last Tuesday, March 5, as she walked along the north sidewalk on Bath Road, west of Sir John A. MacDonald Boulevard.
“Witnesses observed this white Hummer SUV driving aggressively well before the collision”, says Det. Const. Scot Huffman with Kingston police.
The driver, 30-year old Brandon Desjardins has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Desjardins and a female passenger of the Hummer were trapped in the wreck and had to be extricated by emergency services.
Desjardins received treatment for minor injuries — however, his passenger was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains.
Police did not release her name and would not confirm what relationship Desjardins had to the woman, only describing her as “middle-aged.”
Police continue their investigation into the reason why the SUV ended up on the sidewalk.
“We still have several investigative avenues to go down and we are hopeful they will shed additional light onto the motive or the reason why this happened,” says Huffman.
