Ottawa firefighters extinguished a house fire in the city’s west end Sunday evening.
According to Ottawa Fire Services, dispatchers received a 911 call from a passerby reporting smoke from the second floor of the home at 893 Dresden Cres.
Upon arrival, firefighters declared the blaze a working fire after confirming that heavy smoke and flames were coming from all sides of the building.
No one was home at the time of the blaze, and no injuries were reported.
Crews had the fire under control shortly after 9 p.m., and a fire investigator has been assigned to determine the cause.
