On Jan. 27, police investigated an assault in the area of Charlotte and Aylmer streets. Police were informed a man was allegedly assaulted by a female after they and another male exited a vehicle.

Police say a bystander approached the man being attacked to check on his well-being. The man then began to assault the bystander who suffered several facial fractures, police said.

The investigation led to the arrest of a suspect on Sunday.

Jordan Morin, 21, of Crystal Drive in Peterborough was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

He’s scheduled to appear in court March 13.
