Police say a woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
According to South Simcoe police, on Thursday at around 7 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at a plaza on Holland Street West.
Police say a pickup truck was reversing towards an empty parking space when it struck a pedestrian.
Officers say the woman was knocked to the ground and was dragged a short distance underneath the vehicle.
According to police, the victim, a 66-year-old woman from Bradford was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to a Toronto area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Officers say the 83-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained on scene.
Police say no charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
According to police, the collision occurred in a busy parking lot and officers are now appealing for witnesses.
